Wow first of all, apologies for forgetting how time works. I was convinced that the opening post should be a full 24h after it should have been, and when I realized that I didn't have time to set everything up.

In any case, here it is now! vixxmas 2022 is now OPEN!

The breeze comes just in time for the picture to be taken. Hakyeon hears the shutter go off a couple of times before closing his eyes and enjoying the winter sun until he hears the shutter again.

He wishes, not for the first time, that the sound of the waves could be captured alongside the rest of the moment.

“It should be illegal for it to be this sunny and this cold,” Taekwoon complains as he dutifully takes picture after picture of Hakyeon from where he’s been positioned.

“We will report the weather to the police when we’re back to the city,” Hakyeon replies, and it takes everything in him to not laugh at the face Taekwoon, all tall and menacing with his black coat and black scarf, makes at that.

“My hands are so cold, I don’t know if I’ll be able to hold onto this heavy camera much longer,” Taekwoon threatens, and that, if nothing else, gets Hakyeon moving.

“Hey,” Hakyeon says, reaching out for the camera in Taekwoon’s hands. In true five year old fashion, Taekwoon sees him coming and takes a step back, hand in the air, “let’s not joke about that.”

He reaches forward, too, walking up to Taekwoon as closely as he can do while being in public. He doesn’t try to get on his tiptoes to reach him though, knows from experience that will only lead to despair.

He has, however, other options.

“We came here on a date, and all I did was take pictures of you I can’t see yet and freeze my very poor hands,” Taekwoon says, softly. From this close Hakyeon can see little puffs of air with each of his breaths. “What’s in it for me?”

“I could show you the pictures when I get them,” Hakyeon offers, equally soft. Despite the game, Hakyeon is sure the camera is safe in Taekwoon’s hands.

“That would be nice,” Taekwoon agrees. “But what about my poor, poor fingers?”

As slowly as one could possibly move, Hakyeon reaches the hand that is not holding his camera up and holds it between his own, before pulling it up and placing a kiss right above the knuckles. “I guess I would have to try and do something about them.”
